Israeli warplanes and artillery continue to hit Khan Younis despite Israel’s claim that it returned to the ceasefire two days ago.

Gaza residents say they fear a return to Israel’s full-scale bombing, as they struggle to find food and shelter amid the supposed truce. Aljazeera reported.

Hamas returned the bodies of two more deceased Israeli captives, which Israel says were positively identified.

Israel’s war on Gaza has killed at least 68,527 people and wounded 170,395 since it began in October 2023. A total of 1,139 people were killed in Israel during the October 7, 2023, Hamas-led attacks, and about 200 were taken captive.

Palestinian parents and children continue to grapple with deep psychological scars after more than two years of Israeli assault.

Khalil Al Shareef says his young daughter, Lana, survived an Israeli air strike in which “the roof collapsed on her from the force of the explosion.”

He told Al Jazeera she later developed vitiligo from chemical exposure and now “panics every time she hears an explosion.”

In Gaza City, child survivor Abed Al Aziz Abu Hawishal said an Israeli soldier pointed a gun at his head and recalled “a massacre in our neighborhood, bodies were flying over our house.”

He added, “I saw a woman without a head, and I even stepped on bodies as I ran, terrified for my life.”
