The center, launched under the supervision of the Foreign Employment Bureau, is designed to conduct Korean Language Proficiency Tests (TOPIK) and related examinations in a fully digital environment.
Officials stated that the initiative is part of efforts to modernize examination procedures, ensure transparency, and provide a more convenient testing experience for candidates aspiring to work under the Korean Employment Permit System (EPS).
The new facility features computer-based testing systems, real-time monitoring, and secure data management, aligning with international testing standards.
According to the Bureau, the introduction of this electronic platform is expected to increase test capacity, reduce administrative delays, and enhance accuracy in results, thereby facilitating smoother recruitment processes for job seekers heading to South Korea.
A senior official noted that the center’s launch reflects Sri Lanka’s commitment to adopting modern technology in skill assessment and international employment preparation.
