Deaths in queues will not be repeated - President

President Anura Kumara Dissanayake insisted that the kind of crisis that had to die in queues without fuel gas will not be allowed to occur again in Sri Lanka.
President Anura Kumara Dissanayake posted these views that started the construction of six more tanks of mineral oil today (17) at the Mineral Oil storage Complex.
Construction of 06 storage tanks including 3 15,000 meter tanks, 2 tanks of 7000 meter and 5000 cubic meter tank has been started in Colonnawa.
The president who announced that the current government is working to reach an economic dominance by protecting the energy sector's sovereignty, asked for support like all people for that progressive transformation.
President Anura Kumara Dissanayake who commented here also said like this.
The government has a responsibility to meet the energy needs of the people. The current government is working committedly to fulfill that responsibility. If a cover or career committee is interrupting the government's scheme, we will not hesitate to make a decision. An institution cannot move forward with conservative tradition. And a company won't progress through human labor alone. Technology and science must be added to advance an institution. Fear of technology or science no institution will develop. A country that is afraid of technology or something new will not progress. So we need to institutions for mechanization. Institutions are mechanized but we are not mechanic. We are humid people. So we better understand what happens to the employees when mechanizing corporations and provide solutions.
The old idea is that when a government overturned the government party career committee is forcing the newly appointed government career committee. Wouldn't let other unions in the gate without that. The employees of the oil corporation were engaged in political activities. In history, government servants were even used to rob the polls.
Such a political culture that changed us last year. And no public servant was harassed. Do the common people of our country expect the same old destructive extreme? People wouldn't vote for us if they expected. They pick the old rulers. 159 parliamentarians will not be given. But some people are not ready to change. We invite them to be ready to be changed. If not we are ready to make decisions. Because we don't work hard. Don't look at this progressive transformation from a narrow political angle.
The Iranian leader came and initiated the modification of the Sri Lankan mineral oil stock storage terminal company five years ago, but it didn't happen right. So even the electricity bill got an extra burden. Sapugaskanda is renovating oil proof and also working to increase capacity. And scholars and scientists have voluntarily come out to start the oil exploration program.
Our people get to hear the stories of finding oil during the election period. The first bottle of bore oil was discovered in the 1970 election. Yet we have trusted professionals and given them their responsibilities. The government is providing only the necessary facilities.
26,000 employees of Sri Lanka Electricity Board are ruled under one governing authority. It certainly has been difficult to find that point when a problem arises. The crisis has no owner. The law to privatize the electricity board before this government came to power. We have seen this affects energy independence. Is it a crime to change that law? Is this why electricity workers work on letters or take sick leave? They will have routes to choose in the next two months.
Some people say that Sri Lanka is ahead of the countries with high electricity bill in the region. That's why we are working to reduce the cost of an electric unit. The price of a renewable power unit in the past was at a higher level. Regenerable electricity was abused. Some waterfalls were sold by taking the strength of politicians and taking license. Some of these licenses have no knowledge of electricity. Before we gained power, a wind powerhouse in some land in the north was given for $8 cents. We used the same land, the same air to get an electric unit for $4 cents. That means we were able to reduce the production of an electric unit by 50 percent. Started the work of 100 mega watt solar power plant in Siyambalandu. First time started such a big project. We don't know any of these businessmen, not our friends. All we want is to do projects that benefit the country.
Kerawalapitiya started as a diesel plant. But it's a L. N. Electricity sector experts suggested to convert G into a plant. If done so, an electricity unit can be produced less than 50 percent. But the 2015-2019 clash between the president and the prime minister of the government came that they could not choose which company Kerawalapitiya gives. Kerawalapitiya L as a result of this. N. Couldn't make a G plant. Therefore consumers are uncomfortable due to not reducing electricity bills.
Planning to renew and use 24 oil tanks in the Trincomalee government in the future. We hope to start and finish the relevant agreements on the right day.
Sri Lanka Petroleum Corporation has made a profit of Rs 18.2 billion in the last 8 months. It is not only the mineral oil corporation that provides fuel to the consumers in Sri Lanka. Therefore, that profit cannot be given to the people. So we are working to give that profit to the people curved by education and health.
The government has decided to close 33 state institutions. Those institutions don't serve the people. There are some companies who lease a land belonging to that company and pay the salaries of their employees. Does this country need such institutions? 33,000 crore rupees will be allocated to increase salary by 2027 for government service. But will the people benefit from it? Need to think about what I say. There are ambitions in government institutions. They should be put into commercial use and income path. Some politicians, former presidents have been in government houses for 31 years. We are changing them up. We are working to make the country better. We have ended the era where the rulers started to Godliness. We don't know everything. All those who have knowledge should talk. All of us have been allowed. It's a crime that scholars don't speak. So scholars and veterans in the field need to talk. Taking their ideas and moving forward the journey we build this country. We are humid people. So like 2022 we won't allow a crisis to occur again like people died in oil rows and gas rows.
M/s Indo East Engineering - Celex Engineering JV has offered a total price of Rs 3.7 billion to construct six mineral oil storage tanks at Colonnawa petroleum storage complex. The contract period is 24 months, the project is due to complete in September 2027.
Energy Minister Mr. Kumara Jayakodi mentioned that the construction of new storage tanks in the Colonnawa installation will greatly strengthen the country's fuel storage capacity, and will help in maintaining a sustainable, efficient and continuous supply of petroleum products required to meet the country's growing demand.
Secretary of Ministry of Energy K. T. M. Ananda Rajakaruna, President of Udayanga Hemapala, Sri Lanka Petroleum Corporation and Petroleum Storage Terminal Company (CPSTL), Gentlemen and Ministry Officers gathered at the event.
