Australian Governor-General Concludes Official Visit to Sri Lanka

Australian Governor-General Samantha Joy Mostyn has departed Sri Lanka today (10) following a successful three-day official visit at the invitation of President Anura Kumara Dissanayake.

During her stay, the Governor-General held high-level bilateral talks with President Dissanayake and Prime Minister Dr. Harini Amarasuriya, focusing on strengthening Australia–Sri Lanka relations and broadening cooperation in areas of mutual benefit.

She also visited several regions, including Bandaragama, Mirissa, and Weligama, where she inspected Australian-supported development projects.

Minister of Science and Technology Krishantha Abeysinha, along with senior officials from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, attended the departure ceremony at Bandaranaike International Airport.
