Spa in Dambulla raided by residents

An alleged illegal massage parlor on the Dambulla–Kandalam Road was raided by local residents.

Residents had gathered at the premises and demanded that the management produce official permits to operate the establishment. A tense situation arose when they failed to provide the required documents.

Acting on information from residents, Dambulla Mayor Wasantha Rajamanthri visited the location and confirmed that the Dambulla Municipal Council had not issued any operating permit for the parlor.

Following a complaint to the Dambulla Police, officers arrived and shut down the premises. A woman employed there and two individuals managing the operations were arrested and are under further investigation.
