Six from same family injured in Thanamalwila accident

Police said the accident occurred when a three-wheeler, in which the victims were travelling, collided with a parked lorry.

The injured were initially admitted to the Thanamalwila Regional Hospital, and five in critical condition were later transferred to the Hambantota General Hospital.

The victims, residents of Pahalgama in Badulla, had been on their way to Kirinda at the time of the incident.

Among the injured are a five-month-old infant and a four-year-old child.
