The final Randoli Perahera of this year’s Kandy Esala Festival will grace the streets of Kandy tonight (8), marking one of the most vibrant and sacred processions in Sri Lanka’s cultural calendar.

The grand pageant is scheduled to commence at the auspicious time of 6:51 p.m. from the historic Sri Dalada Maligawa (Temple of the Tooth Relic), carrying with it centuries-old traditions and ceremonial grandeur.

The Esala Perahera, renowned for its majestic tuskers, traditional dancers, drummers, whip crackers, and other cultural performances, attracts thousands of devotees and tourists from across the country and abroad.
