A key suspect believed to have been the main local operator of the notorious overseas drug lord Kehelbaddara Padme has been arrested by the police.
The suspect, identified as Thilina Sampath, also known by the alias "Walaskata", was taken into custody in the Seeduwa police division while traveling in a vehicle. He is reportedly 36 years old.
According to police sources, he played a leading role in running Kehelbaddara Padme’s drug and organized crime network within Sri Lanka. Investigators have found numerous WhatsApp messages exchanged between the suspect and Padme, linking him directly to drug trafficking operations.
