The "Sitru- 2025" concert organized by the Department of Social Services to bring the aesthetic talents of people with disabilities to the national level was held today (05) afternoon at the Lotus Pokuna Theatre, Colombo.
Socialization, empowerment, rehabilitation and live as dignified citizens by the government implemented on people with disabilities scattered across Sri Lanka, to ensure the right to live as active part of the country’s economic flow and as dignified citizens.

Grants of Rs.632 million have been allocated to the Department of Social Services for rehabilitation, empowerment and care of persons with disabilities.

The president presented awards and awards to children in child guidance centres, child care centres and vocational training institutions who won the “Sitru 2025” provincial tournament.
The president who joined the children for a friendly conversation joined them in group photos too.

President visited art program "Sid Ru-2025"
"Sid Roo-2025" art program organized by Department of Social Services to take the aesthetic talents of people with disabilities to the national level, was held today (05) afternoon at Colombo Lotus Thadaga Hall.
In accordance with the national policy of "unite - not abandoned" implemented by the government for people with disabilities across Sri Lanka, protecting their rights and ensuring their rights to socialize, strengthening, rehabilitation and as proud citizens, one of the strategies of Social Services Department is "Sid Roo" art Organizing the event. Notable this time it's arranged after 06 years.
The Department of Social Services has been allocated Rs 632 million in this year's budget for rehabilitation, strengthening and protection of people with disabilities.
