India remains the top source market, contributing 269,780 visitors, followed by the United Kingdom (124,652) and Russia (114,644).
In July alone, a total of 145,188 tourists have arrived in Sri Lanka. Among them:
27,786 visitors came from India, representing 19.1% of total arrivals for the month.
The United Kingdom followed with 16,750 tourists,
Netherlands with 10,809,
France with 7,732, and
China with 5,904 visitors.
Officials say the steady increase in arrivals is a positive indicator for Sri Lanka’s tourism-driven economic recovery, with seasonal promotions and improved connectivity continuing to play a key role.
