The Global Convention of the Sri Lankan Business Council is organizing a platform to unite the Sri Lankan business community scattered around the world.

Entrepreneurs from 15 countries including USA, UK, Japan, Australia, Canada and India are coming together for this conference on two days today (25) and tomorrow (26).

A discussion pavilion was set up at this conference on expanding global trade ties, calling for new investments and actively contributing to this country's economy.

At present, Mr. Vijitha Herath, Minister of Foreign Affairs, Foreign Employment and Tourism, invited the business community to come home and invest without fear as an investment-friendly environment has been created in Sri Lanka.

There, it was also speciality to see the business community who came together positively responded to that invitation.

The President also presented symbolic evaluations to the International Council representatives here.

Members including foreign ambassadors and Secretary General of the Sri Lankan Business Councils of Global Conference attended the event.

President Anurakumara Disanayaka participated in the opening ceremony of the Annual General Meeting of Sri Lankan Business Council (Global Federation of Sri Lankan Business Councils) Global Conference held today (25) morning at Shangrila Hotel Colombo.

The global conference of Sri Lankan Trade Council works as a platform to connect Sri Lankan traders all over the world in one place.

Entrepreneurs from 15 countries including America, England, Japan, Australia, Canada and India, joined today (25) and tomorrow (26) in the tone of "Uniting Global Sri Lankan Trade - Forward"

A discussion site will be held during the conference this time on expanding global business relations, attracting new investments and receiving a serious contribution to the country's economy with the support of Sri Lankan entrepreneurs around the world.

Foreign Affairs, Foreign Employment and Tourism Minister Vijitha Herath called on the trade community to fearlessly visit our country as an investment environment is created in Sri Lanka.

Notable how the business community responded in favor of that call.

The president presented identity awards to representatives in the International Council.

President Anura Kumara Dissanayake attended the inaugural session of the Annual General Meeting of the Global Federation of Sri Lankan Business Councils (GFSLBC), held this morning (25) at the Shangri-La Hotel in Colombo.

The GFSLBC serves as a platform bringing together the global Sri Lankan business community.

Entrepreneurs from 15 countries, including the United States, the United Kingdom, Japan, Australia, Canada and India, are participating in this two-day summit, which takes place today (25) and tomorrow (26) under the theme "Uniting Global Sri Lankan Businesses – Moving Forward."

This year's summit will feature discussions focused on expanding global trade relations, attracting new investments and actively channelling the support of Sri Lankan entrepreneurs worldwide into the country's economy.

The President also presented symbolic appreciation awards to the international council representatives.

Among those who attended the event was the Minister of Foreign Affairs, Foreign Employment and Tourism, Vijitha Herath; ambassadors; and members of the GFSLBC, including its Secretary-General.
