EV Motor Show 2025 Kicks Off at BMICH

Running until Sunday, June 29, the motor show promises to be a landmark event in the nation’s transition towards sustainable transport. It showcases the latest advancements in electric mobility, including cutting-edge EV models, smart charging solutions, green technologies, and local innovations tailored for Sri Lankan roads.
The EV Motor Show 2025 brings together a wide array of participants from global electric vehicle manufacturers to local startups all working toward a common goal: redefining the future of transportation in Sri Lanka.
"This event marks a critical step forward in our national efforts to embrace sustainable mobility," said the Secretary to the Ministry of Transport at the opening ceremony. "Electric vehicles are no longer a concept of the future — they are the solution for today."
Highlights of the show include live vehicle demos, test drives, expert panel discussions, and interactive displays designed to educate and inspire both industry stakeholders and the general public.
With growing concerns over climate change and rising fuel costs, Sri Lanka's EV market is expected to expand rapidly in the coming years. The EV Motor Show 2025 serves as a platform not only to showcase innovation but also to promote awareness and drive policy conversations around sustainable transport.
