12-Hour water cut in Colombo and surrounding areas today (May 25)

The water supply interruption, scheduled from 8:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m., is due to essential maintenance work being carried out at the Ambatale Water Treatment Plant, the NWSDB said in a statement.

Residents in the affected areas are urged to store sufficient water in advance and make necessary preparations to minimize inconvenience during the period of the suspension.

Sri Jayawardenepura Kotte

Kaduwela

Battaramulla

Kolonnawa

Kotikawatta

Mulleriyawa

IDH (Infectious Diseases Hospital) area

Maharagama

Dehiwala

Mount Lavinia

Ratmalana

Moratuwa

The NWSDB has apologized for the inconvenience caused and stated that efforts will be made to restore water supply as soon as the maintenance work is completed.
