A person who was admitted to hospital after being shot at Huludagoda Road in Mount Lavinia has succumbed to his injuries, police said.
The victim was shot by an unidentified gunman at around 9.50 p.m. yesterday (15), according to police.
Following the shooting, the injured individual was rushed to the Kalubowila Hospital for treatment. However, police said he later succumbed to his injuries.
Investigations are underway to identify the gunman and determine the circumstances surrounding the shooting.
