"The Queen of Sri Lankan cinema, aka Malani Fonseka, who began her acting career in 1968, ends her life today (24) not as just another artist or craftswoman, but as a theatre artist who displayed extraordinary talent in all aspects of stage drama, cinema and teledrama.
The theatrical personality she has built is second to none in Sri Lankan cinema, and she can be recognized as an actress who was ahead of her time. We pay tribute to the renowned and veteran actress Malani Senehelatha Fonseka, who has nurtured Sri Lankan cinema with her acting talent for decades and has elevated the Sri Lankan cinema brand both locally and internationally."
