23 Injured in bus accident at Nuwara Eliya

At least 23 people were injured in a bus accident that occurred late last night (May 23) in the Toppass area along the Nuwara Eliya�Kandy main road.
According to police reports, the private bus was en route from Nuwara Eliya to Kandy when it veered off the road and overturned around 11:45 p.m. The vehicle was carrying 54 passengers at the time of the incident, including the driver.
All injured individuals were promptly admitted to the Nuwara Eliya District General Hospital for treatment.
Police have launched an investigation into the cause of the accident, and further details are expected to be released following the inquiry.
