Muslim schools to close for Hajj festival

The Ministry of Education has announced a series of school holidays for Muslim schools in view of the upcoming Hajj festival, which falls on Saturday, June 7, 2025.

According to the official announcement, all Muslim schools will remain closed on Friday, June 6, and Monday, June 9, to allow students and staff to observe the religious festival.

In addition, Monday, May 26, and Tuesday, May 27, have also been declared school holidays. As a result, the second term for the 2025 academic year for Muslim schools will officially commence on Monday, May 26.

The Ministry emphasized that the decision was made to ensure that Muslim students and teachers have adequate time to prepare for and celebrate Hajj with their families and communities.
