Fairly heavy showers exceeding 75 mm are likely in parts of Western and Sabaragamuwa provinces, and in Nuwara-Eliya, Kandy, Galle, and Matara districts. The public is advised to remain alert for potential flooding and waterlogging in low-lying areas.
Wind Advisory:
Strong winds ranging from 30-40 kmph are expected at times, especially across the western slopes of the central hills, Northern, North-central, North-western, and Southern provinces, and in the Trincomalee district.
Residents are urged to take adequate precautions against localized strong winds and lightning during thundershowers to prevent injury and property damage.

Showers or thundershowers are forecast in the sea areas stretching from Puttalam to Hambantota via Colombo and Galle.
Wind Conditions:
Winds will be westerly to south-westerly with speeds of 30-40 kmph, potentially increasing up to 55-60 kmph in the sea areas from Chilaw to Kankasanthurai via Puttalam and Mannar, and from Galle to Pottuvil via Hambantota.
Wind speeds may reach 50 kmph at times in the coastal waters from Chilaw to Galle via Colombo and from Kankasanthurai to Trincomalee via Mullaittivu.
Sea Conditions:
Rough seas are expected off the coast from Chilaw to Kankasanthurai via Puttalam and Mannar, and from Galle to Pottuvil via Hambantota.
Fairly rough seas are expected in other surrounding areas.
Wave heights may rise to 2.0 – 2.5 meters from Puttalam to Pottuvil via Colombo, Galle, and Hambantota.
Fisherfolk and maritime operators are strongly advised to remain vigilant and avoid venturing into the affected sea areas during thunderstorms due to the risk of gusty winds and rough seas.
