Severe Lightning Advisory Issued for Several Areas

According to the Met Department, atmospheric conditions are conducive to the development of thunderstorms accompanied by heavy lightning during the evening and night hours. Residents are advised to take necessary precautions, including seeking shelter indoors, avoiding open areas, and staying away from electrical appliances during lightning activity.

“People are strongly advised to remain vigilant and avoid taking shelter under trees, traveling on open vehicles, or using mobile phones outdoors during thunderstorms,” the advisory stated.
