Thusitha Halloluwa, former Director General of Public Relations to ex-President Ranil Wickremesinghe, narrowly escaped a gunfire attack in Narahenpita today, police confirmed.

According to initial reports, two unidentified gunmen on a motorcycle intercepted Halloluwa’s vehicle and opened fire using a pistol-type weapon. The assailants reportedly fired several shots into the air and at the vehicle before assaulting Halloluwa and fleeing the scene.
