Court sets hearing to review the petition against Jaffna MP

The Court of Appeal has scheduled a hearing on June 26 2025 to examine a petition seeking the disqualification of Jaffna District Independent MP Ramanathan Archchuna.
The case, filed by social activist Oshala Herath, was taken up this morning (May 14) before a two-member bench consisting of Justices Mayadunne Corea and Mahen Gopallawa. The court has ordered the matter to be taken up to confirm the facts.
