Showery conditions continue over several parts of Sri Lanka

Western, Sabaragamuwa, and North-western provinces, along with the districts of Galle and Matara, will experience several spells of rain. In the afternoon, localized thundershowers may affect Central and Uva provinces and parts of the Eastern Province, including Ampara and Batticaloa.
Fairly strong winds, ranging from 30 to 40 kmph, are expected at times in Northern, North-central, North-western, and Southern provinces, as well as in the Trincomalee district. The public is advised to take necessary precautions against possible damages from strong winds and lightning during thundershowers.
Marine Weather Advisory
Sea areas around the island are also affected, with showers expected from Puttalam to Matara via Colombo and Galle. Winds will blow from the west to southwest at speeds of 35-40 kmph, increasing to 50-60 kmph at times, especially from Trincomalee to Pottuvil via Kankasanthurai, Puttalam, Colombo, Galle, and Hambantota.
These areas will experience rough sea conditions, while the rest of the sea areas will remain moderate.
Fishermen and naval communities are advised to exercise caution.
