At Least 20 Injured as Bus Crashes at Yatiyanagala, Aladeniya

According to local authorities, the bus was traveling along a bend in the road when the driver reportedly lost control, causing the vehicle to veer off the road and crash into an embankment. The impact left multiple passengers with injuries ranging from minor to severe.

Emergency services responded swiftly to the scene, and the injured were rushed to the Teaching Hospital in Kandy for treatment. Hospital sources confirmed that while several victims are under observation, none of the injuries are believed to be life-threatening at this time.

Police have launched an investigation into the cause of the crash. Preliminary reports suggest that excessive speed or mechanical failure may have been contributing factors.
