The Indian foreign minister Vikram Misri has just addressed reports that explosions have been heard since the ceasefire between the two nations was agreed.

He says: "For the last few hours, there have been repeated violations of the understanding we arrived at earlier this evening. This is a breach of the understanding arrived at earlier today." Foreign news media reported.

Misri added that India's armed forces have been "given instructions to deal strongly to deal with violations along the border", calling on Pakistan to "halt the violation".

Pakistan has yet to comment on Misri's statement.

From intense hostilities to a ceasefire, the evolving situation between India and Pakistan took a 180-degree turn in just half an hour on Saturday evening.

It all started at 5.25 pm on Saturday, when US President Donald Trump said India and Pakistan have agreed to a "full and immediate" ceasefire following a "long night of talks" mediated by the United States.
