Fuel Price Reduced, effective from midnight

The Ceylon Petroleum Corporation (Ceypetco) has announced a significant reduction in fuel prices, effective from midnight today (30th April), providing some relief to consumers amid ongoing economic pressures.

According to the announcement, the revised prices are as follows:

Petrol Octane 92: Reduced by Rs. 6, now priced at Rs. 293 per litre

Petrol Octane 95: Reduced by Rs. 20, now priced at Rs. 341 per litre

Auto Diesel: Reduced by Rs. 12, now priced at Rs. 274 per litre

Super Diesel: Reduced by Rs. 6, now priced at Rs. 325 per litre

Kerosene: Reduced by Rs. 5, now priced at Rs. 178 per litre

This move comes as part of the government's efforts to ease the cost of living and adjust domestic fuel prices in line with global market trends. The latest reduction follows previous revisions and reflects changes in international oil prices and local economic considerations.

Ceypetco officials stated that the price cuts aim to support households and businesses alike by reducing transportation and production costs across multiple sectors
