A train derailment between the Colombo Fort and Maradana railway stations has caused significant disruptions to rail services.
The incident, which occurred along one of the busiest railway corridors in the country, has led to severe delays on the Main Line, Puttalam Line, and Coastal Line. Commuters traveling to and from Colombo have been advised to expect extended travel times and consider alternative transportation where possible.
Sri Lanka Railways officials confirmed that efforts are underway to clear the tracks and restore normal operations.
