Unclaimed luggage of pilgrims available for collection

The Civil Security Department has announced a special two-day window for pilgrims who attended the recent Siri Dalada pilgrimage and left luggage at designated collection points. The department confirms that all items were securely stored under strict supervision throughout the event.
Despite these measures, several pieces of luggage remain unclaimed. To facilitate the return of these belongings, a retrieval process has been arranged at the Mahanuwara Wevarawume Joy Boat Service area, effective today and continuing through tomorrow.
Pilgrims are urged to present valid identification when reclaiming their items. The department emphasizes that all uncollected luggage is being kept safe and urges owners to collect them without delay.
