Sri Lanka Podujana Peramuna (SLPP) activist Dan Priyasad was injured in a shooting incident that occurred at the Laksanda Sevana apartment complex in Meethotamulla short while ago.
According to police reports, Priyasad sustained gunshot wounds and was immediately rushed to Colombo National Hospital for treatment. Authorities have not disclosed further details regarding the circumstances of the shooting or any potential suspects.
The police are conducting an investigation into the incident and have urged anyone with information to come forward. Local residents reported hearing gunshots and the area remains under investigation.
