The Sri Lanka Police have announced that several roads within the Kotahena Police Division and the Coastal Police Division will be temporarily closed tomorrow (April 21) due to a religious procession and special service.
According to the Police Headquarters, traffic will be restricted from 7:00 a.m. to 11:45 a.m. to facilitate the annual procession from St. Lucia's Church in Kotahena to St. Anthony's Church in Kochchikade, as well as a special service at St. Anthony's Church.
The procession is scheduled to begin at 7:00 a.m. from St. Lucia’s Church and will proceed via Bonjin Junction, through the Galpottha Roundabout, circle around Galpottha Street, and continue along Jampatta Street before arriving at St. Anthony’s Church on the coast.
The police have urged the public to use alternative routes during the restricted hours to avoid traffic congestion and ensure the smooth movement of the procession.
