The newly appointed Chairman of the Sri Lanka Rupavahini Corporation (SLRC), Gihan de Silva, officially assumed duties yesterday (December 26).
He was appointed by the Minister of Mass Media, Dr. Nalinda Jayatissa, following the resignation of former Chairman Dr. Senesh Dissanayake Bandara.
Gihan de Silva is a seasoned business professional with over 25 years of experience. He is known for his expertise in marketing, strategic planning, and management, as well as his contributions to building impactful brands.
An alumnus of Nalanda College, Colombo, de Silva holds a Master’s Degree in Business Administration from Sri Jayewardenepura University and a Postgraduate Diploma in Business Management from Colombo University.
In addition to his new role at SLRC, he is a member of the Presidential Task Force for the government’s ‘Clean Sri Lanka’ programme.
