The National Building and Research Organisation (NBRO) has issued early warnings for potential landslides in several areas due to ongoing heavy rainfall.
These warnings will remain in effect until 4:00 PM tomorrow, December 16.
A Level 1 (Yellow) warning has been issued for the following areas:
• Badulla District: Hali Ela, Ella, Haputale, and Passara Divisional Secretariat Divisions and surrounding areas.
• Kandy District: Medadumbara and Pathadumbara Divisional Secretariat Divisions and surrounding areas.
• Kurunegala District: Rideegama Divisional Secretariat Division and surrounding areas.
• Matale District: Ambanganga Korale and Rattota Divisional Secretariat Divisions and surrounding areas.
Residents in these regions are advised to stay alert and take necessary precautions against potential landslides.
