President Anura Kumara Dissanayake will make an official visit to India from December 15 to 17, 2024, at the invitation of Indian President Droupadi Murmu, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Foreign Employment, and Tourism confirmed today (December 13).

This marks the President’s first overseas visit since assuming office. During the visit, President Dissanayake will meet with Indian President Droupadi Murmu and hold discussions with Prime Minister Narendra Modi and other Indian officials.

The talks will cover a wide range of topics of mutual interest, aimed at strengthening and deepening the longstanding ties between Sri Lanka and India. The Ministry highlighted that this visit underscores the strong bilateral relationship between the two nations.
