Former Samagi Jana Balawegaya (SJB) MP Mujibur Rahman has accused President Anura Kumara Dissanayake of continuing the practice of appointing political supporters to senior state service positions.

Speaking to the media, Rahman claimed that despite expectations of reform, the President has filled key roles with individuals who backed his election campaign, rather than qualified state sector employees.

Rahman emphasized that state workers, who overwhelmingly supported the President in the recent postal vote, are now disappointed, as they had hoped for merit-based appointments. He warned that this approach could lead to a crisis in the state sector if left unaddressed.
