The Road Development Authority (RDA) announced that the Kadawatha-Mirigama section of the Central Expressway will require approximately two and a half years to complete.
Construction had been halted under the previous government due to issues linked to International Monetary Fund (IMF) agreements.
The RDA is now planning discussions to secure the necessary funding to resume work. Meanwhile, the Pothuhera-Rambukkana section is currently under construction and is expected to open in the coming months.
