Sri Lankan authorities have received official confirmation of the arrest of underworld gang member "Manna Ramesh" in Dubai.
Previously, the Police Department had coordinated with Interpol to issue a Red Notice for the arrest of ‘Manna Ramesh’, who was believed to be hiding in Dubai, UAE.
Manna Ramesh was allegedly involved in serious criminal activities, including threats against high-ranking police officers in Avissawella.
The Criminal Investigations Department of Sri Lanka has formally requested the Dubai Police, through Interpol, to extradite Manna Ramesh to Sri Lanka.
As a result, a team of police officers is reportedly preparing to travel to the UAE to facilitate his extradition to Sri Lanka.
