New Delhi, Dec. 18 - India's External Affairs Minister, Dr. S. Jaishankar, engaged in fruitful discussions on Monday with a visiting Sri Lankan parliamentary delegation, led by Speaker Mahinda Yapa Abeywardena.
Sharing insights on the meeting via X (formerly Twitter), Dr. Jaishankar expressed satisfaction with the 'good interaction' held with the Sri Lankan delegates during their official visit to New Delhi.
The Indian minister also conveyed appreciation for the warm sentiments expressed by the Sri Lankan delegation, acknowledging India's steadfast support in the island nation's economic recovery process.
In addition to diplomatic pleasantries, the two sides delved into the prospect of further collaboration across various sectors. Discussions encompassed potential partnerships in investments, tourism, projects, and people-to-people exchanges, signifying a commitment to strengthening ties and fostering mutual growth between the two nations.
