The Department of Communication of Parliament has announced that the second reading debate of the Value Added Tax (Amendment) Bill is set to take place tomorrow (10 Dec.).
Simultaneously, the second reading debate of the Finance Bill is also scheduled for tomorrow. The debate is scheduled to run from 09:30 a.m. to 04:30 p.m., as decided by the Committee on Parliamentary Business (COPB).
These decisions were made during a meeting chaired by Parliament Speaker Mahinda Yapa Abeywardena on 20 November.
Furthermore, the last three days of the Committee Stage Debate of the budget will be held from Monday (11 Dec.) to Wednesday (13 Dec.).
The division on the third reading of the Appropriation Bill (Budget) for the financial year 2024 is set to take place on 13 December at 06:00 p.m.
