Sri Lanka’s expressway network generated more than Rs. 124.5 million in revenue during the two public holidays on August 26 and 27, according to the Road Development Authority (RDA).

The RDA said a total of 325,316 vehicles used the expressways during the two-day period.

On August 26, 163,763 vehicles travelled on the expressway network, generating approximately Rs. 60.4 million in revenue.

The following day, August 27, 161,553 vehicles used the expressways, bringing in around Rs. 64.1 million.

The highest traffic volumes were recorded on the Southern Expressway (E01) and the Outer Circular Expressway (E02), the RDA said.
