Minister of Foreign Affairs, Ali Sabry, is set to embark on an official visit to the State of Qatar from December 9th to December 12th, 2023. 

The purpose of his visit is to attend the prestigious Doha Forum, where leaders and policymakers from around the world gather to address global challenges and establish collaborative networks. 

Minister Sabry will be participating as a panelist in a high-level discussion on the topic of the BRICS (Brazil, Russia, India, China, and South Africa) rising influence in the multipolar international order. 

This panel will delve into the growing impact of these emerging economies on the global stage. Sponsored by the State of Qatar, the Doha Forum serves as a vital platform for global dialogue and action. 

It aims to facilitate productive conversations among decision-makers and generate innovative solutions to pressing global issues. Apart from his involvement in the Doha Forum, Minister Sabry has a series of important meetings scheduled during his visit.

He is set to hold discussions with the Qatari Prime Minister, who also serves as the Minister of Foreign Affairs, to explore avenues for further strengthening the already robust bilateral relations between Sri Lanka and Qatar. 

Besides, Minister Sabry will engage with senior officials from the Qatar Investment Authority and key business entities in Qatar. These meetings will provide an opportunity to foster economic cooperation and explore potential investment opportunities between the two nations.
