Sources have revealed that Sanath Jayasuriya, the former captain of the Sri Lanka cricket team, is poised to take on a new role as a "Full Time Cricket Consultant" for Sri Lanka Cricket (SLC).
In this position, Jayasuriya will contribute his expertise in strategy planning, technical aspects, training, coaching, and the overall growth of the national team.
However, it should be noted that the proposal is still pending approval from the Executive Committee members.
Besides, it has been reported that Jayasuriya has requested a monthly compensation of Rs.5 million for his services.
