Alleged underworld figure Saranga Pradeep, alias “Welle Saranga,” has reportedly been arrested by Dubai Police, according to reports.
The suspect is said to have been taken into custody recently following information provided by the Director of Sri Lanka’s Central Criminal Investigation Bureau and intelligence officers who had travelled to Dubai in connection with efforts to locate and arrest Lalith Kannangara, alias “Bus Lalith.”
According to the reports, Dubai Police carried out the arrest based on information provided by the Sri Lankan officials.
It has also been reported that cocaine and “ice,” a commonly used street name for crystal methamphetamine, were allegedly found in the suspect’s possession at the time of his arrest.
However, Sri Lankan authorities have reportedly not yet received official notification regarding the arrest of Welle Saranga.
