Sri Lanka’s Leader of the Opposition, Sajith Premadasa, has extended his greetings to Sri Lankan Muslims on the occasion of Milad-un-Nabi, emphasizing the importance of respect, justice, kindness and brotherhood beyond racial and religious divisions.

Mr.Premadasa said Sri Lanka’s diversity should not become a source of division, but should instead be transformed into a strength that unites the country.

He stressed that building a society that accepts differences, respects the rights and beliefs of others, and ensures that no community is left behind is the collective responsibility of all citizens.

“May the path of peace, justice, and coexistence shown by the Prophet Muhammad be a new light for Sri Lanka,” Premadasa said.

He wished all Sri Lankan Muslims a blessed and peaceful Milad-un-Nabi.
