Retired Admiral Kanchana Bagoda, former Commander of the Sri Lanka Navy, has been appointed as the new Chairman of Airport and Aviation Services (Sri Lanka) (Private) Limited.
He is scheduled to assume duties as Chairman on September 1, 2026.
Admiral Bagoda served as the 26th Commander of the Sri Lanka Navy before retiring from active service. A senior tri-service officer with more than three decades of dedicated service to the country, he has made a distinguished contribution to Sri Lanka’s national security and defence sector.
His appointment is expected to bring his extensive leadership and administrative experience to the management of Airport and Aviation Services, the institution responsible for the operation and management of Sri Lanka’s major international airports.
