The Hatton–Colombo main road, which was temporarily closed this morning (15) following a landslide, has been reopened to traffic.
The road was closed after a section of earth collapsed in the Hatton–Kuilwatta area, obstructing traffic.
The fallen earth was subsequently cleared from the roadway through the coordination of the Nuwara Eliya District Disaster Management Unit and the Hatton Police.
Following the completion of the clearing operation, authorities reopened the road for normal traffic.
