According to the parliamentary schedule, proceedings on July 21 will begin with debates on two special motions from 11:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m.

The first motion seeks to refer to the Attorney General the report of the Committee on Public Accounts (COPA) concerning the scheme that granted permits to Sri Lankans employed overseas to import fully electric vehicles.

The second motion proposes that matters uncovered during investigations conducted by the Committee on Public Enterprises (COPE) be referred to the Commission to Investigate Allegations of Bribery or Corruption (CIABOC) for appropriate legal action.

From 2:30 p.m. to 5:30 p.m., Parliament will take up an adjournment motion focusing on the performance of the Committee on Public Petitions.

The four-day parliamentary sitting is expected to address several matters related to public accountability, oversight, and governance, with particular attention on committee findings and follow-up legal action.
