Australia women's national cricket team defeated England women's national cricket team by seven wickets at Lord's Cricket Ground to lift the 2026 ICC Women's T20 World Cup title.
Chasing a target of 151, Australia produced a composed batting performance to reach the target with 17 balls remaining. Beth Mooney led the chase with 64 from 49 balls, while Phoebe Litchfield contributed a fluent 48, putting Australia firmly in control before the winning runs were scored.
Earlier, after winning the toss and choosing to field, Australia restricted England to 150/4. England recovered from a difficult start at 70/4 thanks to an unbeaten 80-run partnership between captain Nat Sciver-Brunt, who made an unbeaten 58, and Freya Kemp, who added a brisk 44.
England's bowlers were unable to make early breakthroughs during Australia's chase, allowing the defending batting lineup to control the match throughout the innings.
The victory further strengthens Australia's record as the most successful team in women's international cricket, adding another world title to its collection, while England finished as runners-up in front of a home crowd at Lord's.
