The report was published as part of an annual research project conducted for the second consecutive year by the digital financial services provider. The global index was compiled based on 34 key factors that are considered important when relocating to a new country. These include the quality of healthcare, cost of living, employment opportunities, safety, and overall family friendliness.
According to the 2026 rankings, Spain secured the top position, followed by China in second place and United States in third.
The report highlights that Sri Lanka earned its high ranking mainly due to its strong education system and affordable childcare costs, making it an attractive destination for families.
In addition, Sri Lanka was also ranked 5th among countries with the best public transportation systems, further strengthening its reputation as a family-friendly nation.
