According to reports, the aircraft bearing registration TU-TAB, manufactured in 1969, had accumulated unpaid parking fees and late payment interest amounting to Rs. 284,473,729.10 as of March 20, 2026.
The Authority has taken steps to detain the aircraft under Section 101 of the Civil Aviation Act No. 14 of 2010.
Officials said the law empowers the Authority to sell the aircraft if the outstanding dues are not settled. However, reports indicate that the aircraft is currently in a severely deteriorated condition.
A final notice has reportedly been issued to the relevant company demanding full payment of the outstanding amount.
