The Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Foreign Employment and Tourism said it is engaging with the Israeli Foreign Ministry through diplomatic channels to secure immediate consular access to the affected Sri Lankan national.
The Ministry further said it is seeking guarantees for the individual’s safety, wellbeing, and dignity, along with swift and safe repatriation to Sri Lanka.
The Government reiterated its full commitment to ensuring the protection of Sri Lankan citizens abroad.
