It was noted that Doehle Marine Lanka Pvt Ltd—a joint venture established in August 2024 by Centrum Marine Consultancy Pvt Ltd and Peter Döhle Schiffahrts-KG—has significantly expanded its operations.
Under the programme, 233 Sri Lankan seafarers are currently serving aboard international vessels, bringing the total workforce engaged in the initiative to 507. In addition, 76 cadet officers from the Deck, Engine, and Electrical streams are undergoing onboard training, raising the overall cadet group to 136.
