Under the programme, 233 Sri Lankan seafarers are currently serving aboard international vessels, bringing the total workforce engaged in the initiative to 507. In addition, 76 cadet officers from the Deck, Engine, and Electrical streams are undergoing onboard training, raising the overall cadet group to 136.
